47 Hour Firearms Training Course for Armed Guards
This is a 47 hour course required by New York State as the first step in obtaining a special armed guard registration card from New York State Department of State. To attend the course students must possess a valid pistol license pursuant to NY Penal Law Section 400.00 and a valid NYS security guard registration card. The course consists of 7 hours of NYS Penal Law Article35 (Use of Force/Deadly Physical Force) and 40 hours of range instruction and qualification. To successfully complete the course the student must pass a written examination on Article 35 and qualify with a handgun.
Upon completion of the 47 Hour Firearms Training Course, an examination is required for successful completion of this course.
Please be advised that for civilians who are not Police or Peace Officer must possess an active New York State Security Guard License.

8 Hour Annual Firearms Training Course for Armed Guards
This is an 8 hour course that must be completed within 12 calendar months from the completion of the 47 hour firearms training course for armed guards, and annually thereafter. To attend the course students must possess a valid pistol license pursuant to NY Penal Law Section 400.00 and a valid NYS security guard registration card. The course consists of 3 hours of NYS Penal Law Article 35 (Use of Force/Deadly Physical Force) and 5 hours of range instruction and qualification. To successfully complete the course the student must pass a written examination on Article 35 and qualify with a handgun.

Pistol Permit Processing
The process for obtaining a handgun license in New York City is long, at least 3 to 6 months. It’s not particularly difficult, but it is tedious and incredibly time-consuming. It tests your patience, and there is a lot of bureaucracy to deal with. We at SCI can make that process easier for you. With the pistol permit processing, we will take care of your application, draft your reference, and navigate through any halts and hinderances that may come your way.

Concealed Carry Course and Permit Processing
A National Rifle Association-NRA/DCJS-certified course for the 16-hour classroom and 2-hour firearms qualification (18 hours).
Concealed carry refers to the practice of carrying a concealed firearm or weapon on one's person in public. This legal and regulated practice allows individuals to discreetly carry a concealed weapon, such as a handgun, for self-defense purposes. Requirements and regulations for concealed carry vary widely depending on the jurisdiction, with some places requiring permits, background checks, and training courses. The aim of concealed carry is to empower individuals to protect themselves and others in unforeseen or threatening situations while maintaining a level of discretion.
Our NRA-qualified firearms instructors, who hold the necessary authorization and qualifications as New York State DCJS Certified Instructors, are there to train you. Our New York State Concealed Carry, or "CCW,” class consists of 16 hours of classroom training and 2 hours of live fire training. This course will meet and exceed the standards set by NYS for applying for a concealed carry permit. You can rent a firearm to meet the requirements for the gun range if you don't already own one. You do not need to have a pistol permit or a firearm. Additionally, please be advised that upon completion of the 18-hour training, we will be supporting you in completing and submitting the pistol permit application needed for unrestricted concealed carry status.
